LightPath is a project originating in Azerbaijan that brings together exploration, playful tasks and learning activities. This website's knowledge hub introduces GPS quests, World Missions and Discovery, Study and Kids. Begin with what your group needs to learn, then choose a format.

How the approach works

A participant receives a meaningful task, takes action and discusses a finding. On a walk, the task might involve observing a building. In a lesson, it might involve interpreting a story. In a children's group, an adult helps explain a short activity. Completing a task alone does not demonstrate understanding: ask participants to explain an answer in their own words.

The main directions

GPS quests connect activities to places. World Missions and Discovery concern finding and choosing missions. Study focuses on learning sessions, while Kids concerns children's activities. HunterGate Builder, Compass and Navigator belong to the quest direction; check the website for the current availability of each tool before an event.

A useful starting point

Describe the audience, intended outcome and conditions: indoors or outdoors, individual or group, shared language and available devices. For example: “After the walk, participants can identify two features of local heritage and explain their significance.” This gives the activity a clearer purpose than simply trying a new tool.

Using this knowledge hub

These articles contain introductions and suggested facilitation plans. Adapt a plan to your group; it does not promise an automatic platform feature. Check access conditions and current capabilities in the relevant website section. After your first activity, record what helped participants and what needs revision.
